Duplicate content Checker

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

I would like to inform you about the Duplicate Content Tool. Duplicate content is the name of a filter applied by search engines to those queries that return two or more relevant pages that are too similar to each other: as an effect, pages considered duplicates, or near-duplicates, of the first relevant ones are excluded from the results. The purpose of that technology is to offer the best possible variety of results. How does this program work? The tool visits two pages that you want to analyze: it compares the two pages in order to look for differences: it gives back a percentual index that outlines how much difference there is between them.

The stream is updated every 30 minutes but its customizable and you can change the cron service for more frequent updates.

If you look at the brighter side, you will be surprised to see that the application has the capability of realising the source of data. The text link coming in from Digg automatically turns blue while Flickr item will show photo in a green background with a caption.

Flash Template Design

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I have been writing content on the web for a long time and now I have some really wonderful clients for web content writing to work for. Some of my clients are as good as my good ol’ friends. They share their experiences with me all the time while I do content writing works for them. They keep me updated for a lot of things.
Many a times I also come to know some shocking things on the web. Internet frauds is just one of them. This time I ended up knowing about www.flash-template-design. He bought a template from the site and expected the flash file to be either delivered in email or get a link for download.
He showed me the link that was delivered to him …it actually DID NOT work. IMAGINE!!!

He tried contacting the website via email but there was no response at all! The nightmare begins and the internet fraud horror starts looming!!

Next, he searched for the telephone number on the website? There is NONE. Now he has ended up with a redundant link and the money has already been paid. He cannot call back the money as there is no one answering even to provide a proper answer! You can forget about getting a refund!!

How many of us actually call up the vendor before making a purchase?
How many of us actually run a background check on the seller before we purchase something?
Just because the website shows up on the top rankings on the Google, does it means that it is the top seller?
An average internet user does not look through the search beyond the third page. This means all those seriuos sellers who ACTUALLY deliver goods and NEVER show up on results page lose business and cheats make all the money by manipulating search engine results?
Do you get website templates on eBay? I wonder?

Next time you decide to buy something on the internet, run a background check not only on the product but more on the vendor or the actual seller as well! You may save yourself from a surprise after all!
Happy Shopping!!!
