Learn Martial Arts

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

There are so many cultures around the world that have tailored their own styles to the discipline of martial arts. Some of the types of martial arts have integrated the use of weapons, whilst others rely on the control of the body and the use of various limbs. These types are used throughout the world are incredibly effective methods of self-defense and serve as an outlet for a person to display an image of their inner qualities, which connect the powers of peace and stillness.

The disciplines of martial arts have invented in many countries and each style has progressed to unstable stages which are influenced by a precise region of the country to make other styles of the same discipline. The most general styles are the stand-up styles and used for ground fighting. Some have been tuned to become grappling styles that are useful in certain combat situations, and others have progressed to an art form that centers on using a range of weapons.

Some martial art disciplines are known all over the world by name. People have a detailed understanding of the discipline known as karate, but a lot of people do not know that it originated in Japan. The minor known varieties would be the meditative styles that originated in China. Tai Chi is well known by enthusiasts by name, but people seldom tie the cultural roots of Chi Gon or Ba Gua to China.

A form of the Ba Gua discipline has been adapted by the Indian cultures but is not considered to be a pensive style of martial arts. The Chinese use the Ba Gua discipline as a pensive art form but people around the world have also adapted this discipline to offer feelings of equality within the interiors of the home. This concept is known throughout the world as feng shui and people like the calmness that is derived by balancing color properties to develop a sense of calm and balance throughout the home.

Other well known martial arts disciplines are from countries like Korea. Tae Kwon Do is one of those clown styles that people gain valuable martial arts skills from by enrolling in weekly classes in their hometowns. This form is fit for all age groups. Other martial arts skills incorporate stand-up styles but require the use of various body parts to execute the discipline more effectively.

Krav Maga and San Shou are disciplines that include boxing and kickboxing styles with the martial arts techniques of many countries. Krav Maga is a discipline that is extensively used in Israel but can be adapted for use by anyone who needs a great self-protective response. San Shou is a full contact-fighting posture that originated in China and has been incorporated in martial arts competitions throughout the world for many years. This type of martial arts centers on using the boundless hand as a weapon, whilst using kick-boxing techniques to counteract an opponent.

Flash Template Design

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I have been writing content on the web for a long time and now I have some really wonderful clients for web content writing to work for. Some of my clients are as good as my good ol’ friends. They share their experiences with me all the time while I do content writing works for them. They keep me updated for a lot of things.
Many a times I also come to know some shocking things on the web. Internet frauds is just one of them. This time I ended up knowing about www.flash-template-design. He bought a template from the site and expected the flash file to be either delivered in email or get a link for download.
He showed me the link that was delivered to him …it actually DID NOT work. IMAGINE!!!

He tried contacting the website via email but there was no response at all! The nightmare begins and the internet fraud horror starts looming!!

Next, he searched for the telephone number on the website? There is NONE. Now he has ended up with a redundant link and the money has already been paid. He cannot call back the money as there is no one answering even to provide a proper answer! You can forget about getting a refund!!

How many of us actually call up the vendor before making a purchase?
How many of us actually run a background check on the seller before we purchase something?
Just because the website shows up on the top rankings on the Google, does it means that it is the top seller?
An average internet user does not look through the search beyond the third page. This means all those seriuos sellers who ACTUALLY deliver goods and NEVER show up on results page lose business and cheats make all the money by manipulating search engine results?
Do you get website templates on eBay? I wonder?

Next time you decide to buy something on the internet, run a background check not only on the product but more on the vendor or the actual seller as well! You may save yourself from a surprise after all!
Happy Shopping!!!

Purple Gold Caught My Attention

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

I am a writer and I love to write about what catches my attention. I am planning a trip to Singapore and has caught my attention - the Purple Gold. World has been crazy about yellow gold, gold coins, gold ornaments, white gold and more. Now its time for everyone to take notice once again. The Purple gold is here!

Well, just like every woman, gold fancies me too! Purple gold is 80% gold and rest it is alloy of palladium and aluminium. The purple color is the gift from metallic reaction of these two metals. Purple gold is not like yellow gold or white gold. It is not yet sold in ounces but is still limited to ornamental form only. It is more like a gem that adorns the jewelry rather than being kept as a treasure.

According to the information on World Gold Council website:

“It was invented by a professor of metallurgy at Singapore Polytechnic and is now sold by Aspial-Lee Hwa Jewellery, which owns the patent.

… Singapore’s largest jewellers, Aspial-Lee Hwa Jewellery, was the first company to market the product and its marketing manager, Kean Ng, declared: “We are confident it will not be too long before every woman in Singapore desires purple gold jewellery.”The company has developed purple gold that can withstand the processes needed to turn it into jewellery.”

So women, please sit up and take notice. I am already going to go for it when I am going for my next vacation trip to Singapore! Are you ready for it?

Welcome to the Web Content Writing World

Monday, February 11th, 2008

Its my world of writing web content and my passion for writing. I love to write! My thoughts flow better through my fingers rather than my lips. Strange but true! I took up content writing long time back and never thought about it as a profession or taking it up full time. My little habits of drafting letters, writing resumes, job applications eventually made me realise my capabilities.

But it was not until I made a simple HTML website for my employer during my job-days, did I realise my actual strengths. I knew i could write content. Just like someone can design, someone can write programs, I could actually write content that might be quite useful to people.

And now after 7 years, here I am pouring my heart on the web! I have a string of happy clients who have hired my services for developing good content. I hope you really find my blog useful.

If you have comments or suggestions, do let me know. I would love to hear from you. I shall keep on posting information, suggestions, tips, latest updates on content writing. Meanwhile, you may have to read some of my regular blogs dealing with any topic of MY interest. (Well, I actually created my blog just because I wanted to do more than just post answers on Yahoo!)

Hope you have fun and find my web content useful too! Catch my full profile and my works on http://www.webcontentwriter.in/.
